KWAP at UKEC-Graduan Career Fair 2017
In what is becoming an annual event for the team, Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited assisted and represented KWAP at its booth to promote KWAP as an employer of choice at the annual UKEC-Graduan Fair. This year, KWAP’s Chief Investment Officer attended the event as a panellist for the ‘New Economics & Corporate Models’ Forum. It was a successful year again as the team met countless of students and more than 10 students joined the KWAP Young Talent programme this year.
An Afternoon with Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited
To celebrate our successful office move, we hosted an office-warming event in our new premises attended by H.E. Dato’ Ahmad Rasidi Hazizi and many of our esteemed Malaysian counter parties. The new office at Suite 2, Berkeley Square House marks our achievements in the past five years, and also acts as a sign of our growing aspirations for future milestones.
PEUK Invest Challenge 2017
Second year running, Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited organised its Invest Challenge for students in the UK. This year we appreciated the significant number of applicants received to join the competition. All teams performed exceptionally this year, providing useful insight into UK FTSE 250 listed companies. Given the success, we will look to expand the competition further in the coming years.
M-Equity Investment Challenge 2017 Participation
This year, our highly esteemed colleague Pradeeban Letsumanasingam was invited to judge the M-Equity Investment Challenge organised by Warwick MSA at Warwick University.
Prima Ekuiti Internship 2017
Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited continues to offer internship placements in 2017. A total of four internships will be spending 4 weeks at Prima Ekuiti’s office to get a close-up and first-hand experience on the asset management industry. We are looking for more interns for the coming year with additional spaces available.
ASLI Malaysia – UK Diamond Jubilee Forum
On 14 September 2017, Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited participated in the ASLI event as a corporate sponsor. The event grouped together influential and aspirational speakers to discuss the past and future relationship between Malaysia and UK, which is timely given UK’s focus on relationships post the Brexit world.
Portfolio Construction & Management Workshop
On 22nd November 2017, in partnership with ASPIRE, we successfully held an investment workshop for students on portfolio construction & management. Our analyst; Manavaalan Ramasamy provided great insight into the industry. Furthermore, our Portfolio Manager; Nik Amnani Nik Ahmad Fathil provided insight into our parent company and on KWAP’s Young Talent Programme. Thanks to ASPIRE, we received many students with an overwhelming interest in investment. It was a great event to end the year with and we always look forward to working with students.
