KWAP empowers the well-being of the Rakyat by supporting them in practising healthier lives
KUALA LUMPUR, 25 November 2023 – Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [“KWAP”] today organises the Karnival MyPesara at Dataran Karnival Stadium Shah Alam to engage with Government retirees, future retirees and the Malaysian public in general with the aim to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage active ageing in line with the Government’s MADANI core value of “Prosperity”.
KWAP, which carries the slogan “Your Retirement Companion”, aspires that the opening event of the Larian MyPesara will cultivate the spirit of retirees to maintain a healthy, active, and productive lifestyle in their daily lives, even as they enter the golden years.
Chief Executive Officer of KWAP, Datuk Hajah Nik Amlizan Mohamed said, “KWAP’s role extends beyond managing investments and assisting the Government in funding its pension liability. We are committed to our social responsibility efforts, ensuring that KWAP’s stakeholders, particularly retired civil servants, are well-prepared for retirement and can sustain an active lifestyle. Today, we provide them with the knowledge needed for a fulfilling retirement through various activities.”

In addition to the Larian MyPesara event, the two-day Karnival MyPesara taking place on 25 and 26 November 2023, showcases 50 exhibition booths and offers various exciting programmes, including free health check-ups, financial literacy programmes, Bazar MyPesara, discussions on retirement-related topics, and many more.
Datuk Hajah Nik Amlizan Mohamed expresses her hope that the Karnival MyPesara will provide opportunities not only for retirees but also for the public to learn various new knowledge, such as Palliative and Hospice Care, Successful Entrepreneurial Talks, financial management sessions and more.
In summary, throughout 2023, KWAP has prioritised the needs of public sector retirees and improve their quality of life through several initiatives, including the Contributors Forum, Jelajah MyPesara, and Anugerah MyPesara.
The Anugerah MyPesara is a prestigious award specifically designed to give recognition and appreciate retired civil servants who have made a positive impact in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Education, and Social and Community Service. The winners of these three categories will be announced on 14 December 2023.

About Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan)
Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP] or the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) was established on 1st March 2007 under the Retirement Fund Act 2007 (Act 662) replacing the repealed Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454).
KWAP manages contributions from the federal government and relevant agencies made into the Retirement Fund [Fund] to obtain optimum returns on its investments through sound management and investment of the Fund in equity, fixed income securities, money market instruments, and other forms of investments as permitted under the Retirement Fund Act 2007 (Act 662). The Fund shall be applied towards assisting the Federal Government in funding its pension liability. In 2015, KWAP was officially appointed as an agent of the Federal Government for the purpose of pension payment, gratuity, or other benefits granted under any written law from the Consolidated Fund as agreed between the Federal Government and KWAP.
