KUALA LUMPUR, 22 July 2024 – Anugerah MyPesara organised by Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP] is back for the third time to honour public service retirees who are active in contributing to their communities during their retirement years. In collaboration with Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA), KWAP invites pensioners to participate in this year’s edition of Anugerah MyPesara. This Anugerah MyPesara 2024 is consistent with ‘MADANI Economy: Empowering The People’ initiative that not only focuses on boosting the Malaysian economy, but also elevating Malaysians’ quality of life, retirees included.
Maintaining its three nomination categories, Entrepreneurship, Education as well as Social and Community Service, Anugerah MyPesara encourages retirees and future retirees to continue making positive contributions to the community during retirement.
The award is open to Malaysian citizens aged 55 and above who receive a monthly pension from the Government and those who are interested must be members of the public who have retired from the federal, state, statutory body and local authority civil services except Malaysian armed forces retirees (ATM veterans).
Interested applicants may submit the Anugerah MyPesara entry forms and documents by 30 August 2024. The submission can be made through three methods. First, it can be submitted via email to anugerahmypesara@kwap.gov.my, second, via postage, and third, through walk-in at any KWAP office in Kuala Lumpur or Cyberjaya, as well as through the Jelajah MyPesara programme held in respective area during the period. For more information and to obtain the nomination form, please visit www.kwap.gov.my/anugerahmypesara. The winner of the Anugerah MyPesara will be announced on 11 December 2024 in an award ceremony.
The Anugerah MyPesara grand prize winner will be awarded a cash prize of RM50,000, a trophy and certificate of appreciation. Meanwhile, the winners in each category will obtain RM10,000, trophies and certificates of appreciation respectively. Five consolation prize recipients in each category will receive RM3,000, a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.
Throughout this year, KWAP is organising Jelajah MyPesara across Malaysia to offer advisory services to future and current retirees on various aspects of retirement, including financial literacy, entrepreneurship and healthcare, which will continue until the end of the year.
KWAP will also conduct Karnival MyPesara on 29 and 30 November 2024 in Johor Bahru. KWAP invites the public to bring their families to the carnival to understand more about the importance of planning and preparation for retirement.
Along with the slogan “Your Retirement Companion”, KWAP is committed to improving the quality of life of public sector retirees throughout their retirement through the MyPesara initiative.
