KUALA LUMPUR, 28 November 2025 – Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) [KWAP] today announced the appointment of Abdul Hakim Amir Zainol as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 12 November 2025.
Hakim brings with him over two decades of financial and strategic management experience, predominantly in international markets. His global exposure spans across financial control, treasury management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance –equipping him with a broad perspective on financial governance and transformation.
Prior to joining KWAP, he served at Cagamas Group, where he held the role of CFO before being appointed as Chief Business Officer. He also held senior leadership roles in the United Kingdom, including at C. Hoare & Co., the oldest bank in the United Kingdom, and Aldermore Bank. He began his career with KPMG and Ernst & Young, specialising in audit and assurance.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (FCT), a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics as well as a Sloan Master’s in Leadership and Strategy from London Business School.
