​INTEGRITY AND GOVERNANCE

Integrity has been a part of KWAP’s core values since its establishment as Malaysia’s largest public sector pension fund in 2007. This has been further solidified through our commitment in upholding good governance as well as zero tolerance for corru​ption – in any shape or form.

 

We have put in place relevant policies, procedures, and mechanisms to address integrity and governance issues, and organised initiatives to create awareness on ethics and integrity as well as the adverse impacts of corruption.

Code of Conducts and Ethics

KWAP employees are always bound by the set of rules established to guide them in practicing ethical behavior in the discharge of their duties.

No Gifts Policy

KWAP practices no gifts policy, with certain limited exceptions,  as to avoid conflict of interest or the appearance of conflict of interest in any dealings with external parties, as a gift can be perceived as a bribe.

Whistleblowing

KWAP is committed to perform its business and operations based on the concepts of integrity, transparency and accountability, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

As part of good corporate governance, KWAP has established whistleblowing mechanism to address genuine disclosure on misconducts, unlawful or unethical activities committed, or about to be committed within KWAP and/or its subsidiaries.

KWAP employees and members of the public are encouraged to report such matters, in good faith, without fear of reprisal. Every effort will be taken to ensure the anonymity of the whistleblower's identity is maintained.
