Responsibilities
· Conduct timely and accurate qualitative, quantitative & legal due diligence and analysis on prospective Private Equity (PE) proposals of both fund and direct investment.
· Ensure smooth & timely operational day to day activities of the PE Division, including timely querying of transactions, submission of data, reports by PE Manager, processing of payments, distributions, reconciliation of accounts and updating in the Investment & Accounting System.
· Maintain and update External Fund Management database on PE.
· Analyse, monitor and report performances of PE on periodic basis.
· Maintain, review & update PE SOPs and guidelines relating to PE Investments.
· Attend annual investor meetings, networking with other co-investors, meeting with prospective investors and trainings to enhance knowledge and know-how.
· Extensively review legal agreements (PE) with solicitors to safeguard KWAP’s interests.
· Report to BNM and other authorities on timely basis to satisfy regulatory requirements.
· Monitor investment activities and PE to ensure they fall within the ambit of the subscription / shareholder agreement.
· Prepare, review and monitor annual income targets of PE investments.
· Assist HOD in preparing all the necessary proposal papers for approval of Investment Committee, Investment Panel & the Board.
· Implement approved action plan of strategy to invest KWAP’s fund in PE investments.
Requirements
· Possess Degree in Finance
· Possess broad knowledge, hands on skills /knowledge in private equity industry and extensive networking capabilities
· Possess strong analytical thinking
· Good communication skills, both oral and written
· Possess experience in conducting due diligence, PE valuation of companies /asset/business and doing comparative study amongst PE funds
· 5 years experience in PE related field
· Progress towards CFA designation preferred
