What is KWAP’s main activity?

KWAP’s main activity is to manage contributions and to manage the investments of the Fund.

Can KWAP make overseas investments?

While the KWAP Act allows overseas investments, such investments would require a special approval.

The motto clearly explains KWAP’s commitment in prioritizing the future and comfort of retirees based on the good practice of KWAP’s corporate values in managing its funds.

What is the difference between contribution made to KWAP and that of EPF (KWSP)?

KWAP only manages contributions from permanent government staff with pensionable status and who are in service with Regulatory Body and Local Authorities while the EPF (KWSP) manages contributions from private sector employees and government employees who opted to contribute to the EPF.

Does KWAP have branches in each state?

No. At the moment KWAP only operates from its office in Kuala Lumpur.

Does KWAP make pension payments to retired government officers?

No. KWAP only functions to receive and collect pension contributions from employers. When a permanent and pensionable government employee retires, his pension will be paid by the Public Services Department.

Does KWAP give out dividends to its contributing members?

No, at the moment KWAP does not give out dividends on the monthly contributions of its members.

Does KWAP send annual statements to contributors?

No. KWAP does not send out annual statements to its contributors.
